BRIAN K. CHILDRESS, ESQ

Mr. Childress is the President and founder of Childress & Associates, LLC, a premiere legal consulting firm specializing in legal recruiting and human capital solutions. He is also responsible for the development of the firm's national growth operations.

Mr. Childress has over 15 years of legal, government, integrated human resources and professional legal sales experience. Prior to founding Childress & Associates, LLC, he began his career with the Florida Department of Business Regulations acting as a liaison for the Department, Florida Legislature and their state wide constituents. Mr. Childress later graduated from a nationally recognized paralegal school and moved into management as an active paralegal and office manager. After graduating from law school, his focus turned toward representing corporate clients on both the state and national level in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation and corporate transactional work. In this capacity he also served as a human resources consultant for his firm's client base. Mr. Childress then took a position with Thomson/West (formerly West Group) in their sales and marketing department. He then transitioned into the legal staffing and recruiting industry where he managed the Atlanta operations of a nationally recognized company. He has extensive experience consulting with SVP/General Counsels and Partner level executives.

Mr. Childress holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Ohio Northern University, The Claude W. Pettit College of Law. He also holds a paralegal degree from The National Center for Paralegal Training (ABA approved) where he specialized in civil litigation.

Donald R. Jorgenson

Donald R. Jorgenson serves as Recruiting Manager and Diversity Chair for Childress & Associates, LLC. Mr. Jorgenson has great experience in the legal industry. His long-standing career in the legal field positions him well to serve his clients and candidates. He has been active in legal recruiting for many years.

Mr. Jorgenson previously served as Vice President and General Counsel of Sterling & York, Ltd., an international investment banking advisor and capital sourcing firm, where he had been involved with and/or assisted in equity and debt financing requests for restaurants, hotel and motel projects, golf courses, technology concerns, housing projects, entertainment projects, new-age technology companies, and other key investment projects throughout the world. His expertise had also been requested by his clients in the development of nationwide sales and marketing programs. Prior to his co-founding of this organization in early 1995, he served as a senior management corporate attorney with over 20 years experience in private law practice and as in-house counsel to corporations. His areas of expertise include financing, contract negotiation, real estate transactions, and acquisitions and mergers. Mr. Jorgenson was employed from 1990 to 1994 by ISC FIDAS Systems as Vice President and General Counsel. ISC FIDAS Systems was a travel industry software company located in Atlanta, Georgia.

From 1986 to 1989, Mr. Jorgenson was the General Counsel for Newleaf Corporation, a commercial real estate development and management company located in Atlanta, Georgia, which gave him insight and experience into the drafting, negotiating, and enforcement of real estate lease contracts, and other real estate matters. From 1984 to 1986, he served as General Counsel for both SAFEC, Inc., a solar energy company, and for Satori, Ltd., a hotel and restaurant design and development company, both out of Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to 1985, Mr. Jorgenson was a partner, for nine years, in the Isaacs & Jorgenson, Ltd. law firm located in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Mr. Jorgenson is admitted to both the Bar in Georgia, as well as Minnesota. He is also a licensed real estate agent, having worked with Coldwell Banker for several years, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Jorgenson received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota, with a major in Economics. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including inclusion in Best Lawyers in Atlanta, Who's Who in American Law, The Best Lawyers in America, Notable Americans, the Directory of Distinguished Americans, and Community Leaders of the World.
